Hayden Callahan played lacrosse at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC from 2015-2018. At Gibbons, Hayden and her Gibbon’s Crusaders Teammates won 3 North Carolina High School State Championships during the 2016, 2017, and 2018 academic years. Hayden and her teammates also placed runner up in the State Championship series in 2015. During her senior year, she captained the Gibbons team and won the NCHSAA State Championship’s Sportsmanship Award. Hayden finished her high school career by earning the prestigious status of Academic All American and Lacrosse All American. Additionally, Hayden was awarded Defensive MVP her junior and senior year for Cardinal Gibbons. Academic wise in the Gibbons 2018 graduating class, Hayden earned a spot in the top 10% of her class, with an exemplary GPA of 4.98. In addition to lacrosse, Hayden excelled at cross-country running competition and helped her Gibbon’s teammates win 4 straight cross-country State Championships. Hayden’s team received a bid to the Nike Cross National representing the Southeast region in 2017.

In college, Hayden is a starting defender for the Davidson College Wildcats. Hayden continues to achieve academic excellence within the Pre-Medicine track at Davidson in addition to her psychology major. Hayden is the treasurer of the Davidson chapter of the Psi Chi International Honor Society, which she was awarded entrance for being in the top 35% of GPAs for the 2022 Davidson graduating class.

Hayden has inspired and supported junior athletes for 6 years by coaching for the Carolina Fever travel lacrosse team based in Raleigh, NC.  In an effort to continue spreading her love of the game with others Hayden will be coaching the Queen City Stars, with a primary focus placed on supporting and coaching the Academy team. Hayden is extremely excited about the Queen City Stars coaching opportunity.
