Is attendance required?
No. We are aware that players have other commitments outside of lacrosse. As a result, we are supportive of the extracurricular activities players have, including fall and winter sports.
However, In order to get the most out of this membership and achieve the elite level of play desired, we do expect that our members make a concerted effort to attend practices, playdays and events. We post our schedule well in advance so that everyone has ample time to make arrangements to attend each activity.
What are the expectations about a player traveling to the out-of-town tournaments? Are these optional?
The out-of-town tournaments are optional, by signing up for a membership we are not asking that each girl be able to attend each and every event. We provide these opportunities to push the competition and skill level for each girl and hope that each player and their family are able to attend what works best in their schedule and within their goals. Obviously, the more a player is able to attend the more they will get out of the membership but certainly our expectation is not that you would be able to attend everything.
Are the tournaments by invitation only?
No. By registering for QCS membership, each player would automatically be registered to travel to the following tournaments:
FALL – Harvest Showcase (Williamsburg, VA) – November 6th and 7th
WINTER – Ancient City Winter Classic (Juniper Beach, FL) – January 8th and 9th
SPRING – SAT Tournament (Peachtree City, GA) – June 4th and 5th
SUMMER – Blaze at the Beach (Wilmington, NC) – June 25th and 26th
If selected to an elite team, these players will be going to the elite IWLCA tournaments and camp.
Is there any additional cost for tournaments (other then the norm hotel, travel, ect.)?
No. The cost to attend these tournaments is included in the membership so the only additional cost to attend all four is the lodging and travel costs. If a player is unable to attend a tournament, that is completely fine but the option (and we encourage players to attend as many as possible) is there to attend all four automatically with registration.
Is the Summer 2011 included in the FULL YEAR membership price?
Yes. The summer 2011 is included in the membership. This yearly cost includes membership from September 2010 through August 2011.
Does the full-year membership include next year's summer program (i.e., the same development team program she participated in this summer)?
Yes. The full-year membership runs from September 2010 through August 2011. The "developmental team" structure we had this summer won't be specifically termed this in the summer of 2011. However, the experience will be very similar in that the membership offerings in the summer will include similar "instructional" hours (i.e. practices) very much like this summer with girls grouped based upon skill level/age and then traveling to intermediate level tournaments that will be a slight step-up from the playdays held this summer.
Is there any way I can pay in installments instead of paying the whole fee upfront?
Yes. We understand that everyone's financial situation is different. If you would prefer to pay in a few smaller payments, please contact Catherine LeBlanc (

What if my daughter gets injured? Can I get a refund?
If your daughter is physically unable to play because of an injury, a pro-rated refund will be issued pending director approval. For year long members, as of June 15th, there are no refunds as the season is well more than half over. For half year members in the fall, as of November 1st, there are no refunds. In all cases, PHYSICAL injury is the ONLY reason for a refund!
